H.E.A.R.T link (Heart Education and Active Rehabilitation Therapy) is an exercise, advice and support service for cardiac patients. The sessions are run in partnership with the East Riding and Hull Cardiac Rehabilitation Service and the British Heart Foundation. The programme helps heart patients manage their condition, improve their health and recover their quality of life after a cardiac event, such as a heart attack or heart surgery.
The sessions are lead by a qualified BACR instructor and consist of gym and group exercise classes, along with healthy lifestyle advice. Participants work at their own levels on a progressive programme which aids recovery, reduces further risk factors and offers the participants the information they require for the long term maintenance of physical activity and lifestyle change.
The sessions are run bi-weekly, priced at £3.50, and require a medical referral.
