Reviews from our members

Michael | Withernsea

I have been a member for eight years now, I come most days and go to the gym and classes. I love coming it has really helped with my health. I love all the support I get from the staff at the centre and the variety of classes that they offer.

Dianne | Driffield

I started coming to the centre after Covid, I was a little apprehensive to start, but the staff encouraged me and made me feel welcome. The offering at Driffield is really good and I am now a committed member who enjoys a variety of activities from swimming to RPM.

Alan | Withernsea

I have been a member at Withernsea Leisure Centre for about six years now. I love coming to the centre all of the staff are really friendly and make time to speak to you and ask how you are doing. I use the gym, classes, swimming pool and sauna. We have lots of great classes the instructors are brilliant. I always leave feeling that I have had a good time at the centre.

Glynn | Beverley

I have been going to Beverley leisure centre for the past nine years and I find that the staff are very helpful the cafeteria is very good especially for food. The gym is great very up-to-date and on top of that the swimming pool is very good. I come to the leisure centre between two and three times a week meeting other people and talking together about each other problems. Now with outdoor gym you can get on with what you want to do. It can do with a bigger car park because all of the leisure centre is being use and it's great seeing people use it.

Sarah | Bridlington

Regular user of the Leisure centre and have noticed over many years of attending that the reception staff are very kind, fun and of course efficient and carry out their duties with a smile. Cleanliness of the building is excellent and frequently comment to your cleaning staff what a good job they do.
I'm in every single day doing aquafit or the gym and Heather is amazing. I have suffered from a terrible mental health problem that will be with me for life and her class has literally saved my life.
There are so many other positive, uplifting and good things I could tell and the way I would put this into words would be that Leisure World has become a safe space for me, I feel surrounded by friends who are doing their jobs efficiently and always have a smile of greeting, sometimes a brief chat yet always a friendly greeting.

Andrew | Francis Scaife

All the gym staff are fantastic, they have a wide range of knowledge and experience and they are always willing to help. The staff encouraged me to try different exercise classes and I love the community and social interaction with the instructors and the members.

David | Francis Scaife

I have been a member of many different gyms all over the UK. I stumbled across Francis Scaife when I moved to the area, the facilities might be smaller than what I am used to, but the staff and the welcoming feel of the centre beats anything I have used before. I always look forward to a workout at my local gym.

Angela | Bridlington

I am a single parent carer; my disabled daughter plays golf across County, is a member of both our local golf clubs alongside playing for Yorkshire Girls.
My daughter regularly attended another gym but wanted to change to the Bridlington leisure complex since the refurbishment. Her ultimate goal was to focus on equipment which supported her golf; due to her severe language disorder, she struggles to retain information but has overcome so many barriers to pursue her chosen sport.
A member of staff called Ben at the leisure centre has really understood her learning style and from her induction has ensured he demonstrates how to use the equipment safely alongside "visually" showing her how to access - and not overloading her with too much overload of language.

V | Beverley

I have been weekly, sometimes twice a week and after ten weeks my readings on the Boditrax have improved. I am very happy with this. I am 71 years old and my starting metabolic age was 63. It is now 56 - WOW. So pleased with this result.
